Plasma Etching Treatments for PCBs
Drilling processes in circuit board manufacturing can leave a residue that affects performance. Plasma etching treatments for PCBs include plasma desmear and plasma etchback to remove residual resin deposits from drilled holes in printed circuit boards. Using controlled chemical reactions, plasma desmear ensures reliability through resin removal. Plasma etchback uses a similar process but provides the added benefit of removing some surrounding substrate on PCB interconnects to promote enhanced electrical contact between interconnects and copper plating.

Single- and two-component polyurethane coatings are easily applied and provide excellent moisture, chemical, and abrasion resistance. Polyurethane PCB coatings are ideal for aerospace applications or applications where exposure to vapors is a standard concern.
